There are three levels of government in Switzerland, on the Federal, State and Community level.

The Parliament consists of House of Representants (depends on the number of populations (big states have more representants than small states), 200 members represent all states (Cantons) in Switzerland, and 46 Senators (each 2 Senators represent their full state).

Switzerland has a Direct Democracy. This means that for every new or modification of constitution and/or law the Swiss Citizen must be consulted.

Public expenses are on the average paid by the Federal Government (35%), State Government (35%) and by the Communities (30%).

Every federal states have their autonomy such as for Taxation, Capital gain, Inheritance, health care, dog, vehicle, real estate and the like.

The Federal Assembly which consists of 7 ministers (7 Bundesraete) act as Executive Authority and consists of members of 2 Social Party, 2 Christ Populace Party, 2 Freedom Democracy Party and 1 member of Swiss Populace Party. Because of the fact that the Swiss Executive Government members come from different parties, Switzerland has his long running political stability.

Each year the members of parliament choose one of the 7 ministers as the president of the Federal Assembly for a government period of one year.
